Goldman Sachs Investment University (GSIU) is Goldman Sachs’ dedicated education portal aimed at providing financial advisors and individual investors a single source of education around alternative investments

NEW YORK, May 14, 2025 – Today, Goldman Sachs Asset Management announced the launch of ‘Goldman Sachs Investment University’, a dedicated educational platform designed to provide global wealth advisors with a source of objective education for alternative investments and client portfolio implementation.

GSIU is a comprehensive digital portal providing access to live, virtual and interactive content on a range of alternatives educational topics from experienced Goldman Sachs investment professionals.

“Alternatives are an increasingly important consideration in 2025 as investors look for new sources of diversification, but successfully implementing them in portfolios requires specialized knowledge. To confidently guide their clients through an alternative investment journey, advisors need access to actionable information,” said Kyle Kniffen, Global Head of Alternatives, Third Party Wealth at Goldman Sachs Asset Management. “GSIU aims to empower advisors with content and tools based on our decades-long alternatives investing experience and perspective to navigate new opportunities and deliver strong client outcomes.”

The platform will provide a practical, customizable curriculum to support a deeper understanding of asset classes including private equity, private credit, real assets and hedge funds, to help advisors identify the defining elements, benefits and risks of each asset class. Informative thought leadership and digital content around topics including portfolio construction, risk management, asset allocation and vehicle selection will also be available to help advisers with implementation.

“We are laser-focused on clients having customizable tools to understand the role alternatives can play in a portfolio, and implementation considerations across asset classes,” said Kristin Olson, Global Head of Alternatives for Wealth at Goldman Sachs. “GSIU harnesses the intellectual capital from across the Goldman Sachs organization to help clients make more effective investment decisions for their clients and their total portfolio goals.”
