Overview
Objective
The Fund is classified as a financial product under Article 8 of the EU Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation. The Fund promotes environmental or social characteristics but does not have a sustainable investment objective. The Fund integrates ESG factors and risk in the investment process alongside traditional factors. Detailed information on the sustainability related disclosures of the Fund can be found in the Template Pre-contractual disclosure (annex of the prospectus) on https://www.gsam.com/responsible-investing/en-INT/non-professional/funds/documents. This fund is a fund of funds that primarily invests in a diversified portfolio of global, regional, as well as Romanian equity and bond funds. Funds can comprise both actively and passively managed funds. Other financial instruments (such as cash, money market instruments, listed real estate, etc.) can be used to achieve the investment objectives. The fund uses active management to respond to changing market conditions by using amongst others fundamental and behavioural analysis resulting in dynamic asset allocations over time. The fund positioning can therefore materially deviate from the benchmark. The fund is actively managed against an investment profile of 15% Romanian government bonds (benchmark Bloomberg Barclays Emerging Markets Local Currency Romania), 25% bonds denominated predominantly in Euro (benchmark Barclays Euro Aggregate), 35% global stocks (benchmark MSCI World Net), 15% Romanian stocks (benchmark Romania (BET-XT) TR) and 10% global real estate (benchmark 10/40 GPR 250 Global Net). Measured over a period of five years we aim to beat the performance of the combined benchmark. The benchmark is a broad representation of our investment universe. The fund may also include investments into securities that are not part of the benchmark universe. There is no benchmark for this specific hedged share class as we apply a currency hedging strategy. We put an accent on stable capital growth. The fund strives to add value via three approaches: (1) allocation to and within asset classes and sectors, (2) selection of stocks and bonds in a diverse set of Goldman Sachs Asset Management investment funds (3) portfolio diversification and risk management. The sub-fund’s base currency is Euro (EUR) and the sub-fund can be exposed to non-Euro currencies. By hedging this share class we aim to exchange the base currency of the sub-fund (EUR) with the currency of this share class – Romanian leu (RON). The exposure towards non-RON currencies in the sub-fund remains in this share class. A currency hedge consists of taking an offsetting position in another currency. You can sell your participation in this fund on each (working) day on which the value of the units is calculated, which for this fund occurs daily. The fund does not aim to provide you with a dividend. It will reinvest all earnings.
