Chapitre Six Hotels Collection Announces an Investment From Goldman Sachs Alternatives
CHAPITRE SIX, a collection of hotels founded by Nicolas Saltiel, today announced an investment from Goldman Sachs Alternatives, aimed at accelerating the company’s growth and enabling it to conquer new destinations. A major milestone in the history of CHAPITRE SIX, Goldman Sachs Alternatives’ investment will enable the company to acquire new 20-70 room hotels in prime locations.
Goldman Sachs Alternatives’ minority investment is a significant step for CHAPITRE SIX, which has nearly 400 employees and prides itself on its significant expertise in operating high-end hotels. Its iconic, intimate locations, such as Hotel La Ponche in St Tropez or the future Le Bus Palladium, are known for their authenticity, elegance and respect for their historical settings.
Alongside the investment, CHAPITRE SIX is announcing the upcoming opening of its first new establishment in the mountain within the collection. In winter 2024, a new address will open in the resort of Megève, which will then be followed by additional new openings. This acquisition marks the next stage in the company’s journey, made possible by Goldman Sachs Alternatives.
Nicolas Saltiel, Chairman and Founder of CHAPITRE SIX, commented: “The trust that Goldman Sachs Alternatives has placed in us marks a turning point in our development, and will enable us to consolidate our growth in France and beyond. What makes CHAPITRE SIX unique is our ability to perform two interconnected businesses. On one side is development through research, transformation, and creation of hotels in the most sought-after destinations; on the other, the operational management of our establishments and the daily preservation of their authenticity, high standards, and quality of service.”
Richard Spencer, Head of Real Estate in Europe at Goldman Sachs Alternatives, said: "On behalf of our investing clients, we are delighted to partner with the CHAPITRE SIX team to expand their successful model in France. CHAPITRE SIX is well placed to benefit from growing demand for high-quality, professionally managed assets in the European lifestyle hospitality market, one of our conviction investment themes. This investment will allow us to further leverage our experience of investing alongside the leading real estate and hospitality operating platforms worldwide."
About CHAPITRE SIX
Founded in 2016 by Nicolas Saltiel, CHAPITRE SIX is a collection of 4 and 5-star hotels now counting eight open establishments and two under development. Its aim is to offer guests unique experiences in iconic locations, where each address has its own identity and original character and where the codes of the hotel service are often reconsidered all while preserving the identity of the places in which they are applied. Monsieur Cadet, Maison Saintonge, Hôtel des Académies et des Arts, Monsieur George, La Ponche, Hôtel Aristide, Cap d'Antibes Beach Hôtel, Hôtel Hana... and soon the Bus Palladium and Folie Barbizon, whose history will be written anew thanks to the creative talents of CHAPITRE SIX.
On the food and beverage side, the collection is developing original concepts within its establishments, and proudly boasts two Michelin-starred restaurants: Galanga at Hôtel Monsieur George and Les Pêcheurs at Cap d'Antibes Beach hotel.
The Group has enjoyed significant growth in recent years, underpinned by its ability to acquire and reposition unique, high-quality assets (e.g. the Cap d'Antibes beach, La Ponche and Monsieur Aristide at the heart of Montmartre, etc.). It is also differentiated by a strong brand identity and unique and authentic experiences offered to travelers by loyal, committed teams (candy shops, artists' studios, concert halls...).
CHAPITRE SIX was formerly known as ADRESSES HOTELS.
