We leverage the External Investing Group’s (XIG’s) wide network of external manager relationships to help source high-quality direct investment opportunities. Our network of over 1,000 private markets managers generates in excess of 300 co-investment opportunities per year.1
We pursue a highly selective and multi-stage investment process that contributes to consistent decision-making regardless of company sector or economic cycle. We seek to build appropriately concentrated portfolios of alpha-generating co-investments diversified2 across multiple vectors, including private equity manager, value creation plan, sector, enterprise value and geography.
We believe that we have one of the leading teams in the co-investment industry. Our global investment team is comprised of sector and regional experts and the investment professionals on our Investment Committee have an average of 20+ years of co-investment experience.3
We have access to the extensive network of Goldman Sachs professionals to enhance our due diligence process and add value to our manager relationships. Our co-investment team can tap into both internal and external industry experts and thought leaders as we conduct our investment process.4
